Patch Notes Update — April 27, 2022
Hey Kingdom! We have some exciting new release items this week to share with you!
Crystalvale Zones
Survivors from the Perilous Journey have continued to spread far and wide throughout the lands of Crystalvale and have discovered several new areas of interest in the surrounding lands. Each zone includes new NPCs, clickables, and amazing new music tracks! The three notable discoveries this week are the Meditation Circle, the Portal, and the Tavern.
Portal
The Portal is a place of rejuvenation and of new life. The guardian Magnar still sleeps but should awaken soon to activate the Portal and bring forth new Heroes to the land of Crystalvale.
Meditation Circle
Carved into the mountainside and flowing with the power of the Ancients, the Meditation Circle provides a safe haven for Heroes to rest and to grow. The esoteric wanderer has traveled a great distance on pilgrimage to identify and harness this place of power.
Tavern
Head over to the Crystalvale Tavern to grab a bite of stuffed crawler or a swig of mystery ale. Whatever suits your fancy, Chef Kettlebough or Barkeep Barleychaff have you covered! Once Heroes start streaming in through the Portal or arriving in droves from Serendale, check back in to buy or sell Heroes or get a look at their unique deets.
New / Improved Features
- As mentioned in our Dev AMA, we have made large strides in the build size of our frontend code with a total reduction of 75%. This should hopefully translate into a snappier experience overall, and we will continue to make improvements moving forward.
- When selecting Heroes for the meditation circle, you will no longer have to shuffle through ineligible Heroes but should see only those who have the requisite amount of XP to level up.
- When opening summoned crystals, you should now be able to queue up multiple transactions in the interface. Previously, opening one would cause the others to be disabled with a loading spinner.
Bugs Squashed
- Allows completion of the old wishing well contract quest via the active quest log.
- Misc bugs that are now buried six feet under.
