Well, here we are writing the second weekly newsletter! Why does it feel like so much time has passed already?
This week has certainly been one to remember! From launching our Gen 0 Hero NFTs to various partnerships, we are definitely proud of our team here at DeFi Kingdoms.
Starting from this week onwards, we will be posting weekly newsletters that summarize important milestones, events and partnerships throughout the week.

$100M+ TVL Reached
DeFi Kingdoms has been growing at an exponential rate! Every day, we see new faces join the community and it feels like we are just surpassing milestone after milestone.
In a single week, we have flown past $50M TVL… all the way to over $100M TVL! Our Twitter feed is now packed with a ton of different giveaways, where we give both JEWEL and tears for these TVL milestones.
DeFiLlama recently posted about the most popular protocols on Harmony, and DeFi Kingdoms is proud to now be a top contender in this space, being just one spot away from Sushiswap.
Summoning For Heroes Begin
Summoning Heroes.
The summoning feature officially went live on October 6, with users being able to use the Arch Druid and Portal to do so! All you need are tears and JEWEL tokens to cover the summoning cost.
Summoning is such a huge feature that plays a key role in the entire gameplay experience for DeFi Kingdoms. In fact, we just recently published a guide on summoning Heroes here:
What if you only have one hero? We are looking forward to seeing you all discover new funky combos, classes and more! Let’s see how many generations of Heros we can get, shall we?
Discord Bot in Development
Discord bot? What Discord bot?
You may be wondering what we are talking about! This has been kept under wraps for a while, but we have been working on a Discord bot for tipping, community events and more.
- Tipping users JEWEL (including splitting tips, random tips, etc.)
- Emoji reaction giveaways with rewards in JEWEL
- ‘Raining’ JEWEL (tipping JEWEL tokens to active users in chat)
Community is such a huge part of everything we do! Imagine being able to just tip a user JEWEL using a single text command, without needing to log into Metamask, paste in an address and go through that whole process.
We will be deploying the V1 version of the bot soon. Trust us, there are a lot more features coming besides the ones mentioned above (it is just V1, after all). An in-depth article about the bot will be posted after its initial release.
Onboarding New Team Members
As DeFi Kingdoms continues to grow, we have been bringing on more talented individuals to be part of our marketing, development and/or design team! Don’t be surprised if you see new faces on our Discord.
You may have also noticed some new roles, such as Seer and Grand Knight! These not only make the chat more colorful, but also help allow individuals to really specialize in their fields and be recognized.
More Streams & Giveaways
Who doesn’t love to watch some good content after a long day?
We certainly do. We post regularly about upcoming live streams or events on our Discord and Twitter. If you like learning about DeFi Kingdoms and want a shot at winning some awesome rewards, we encourage you to tune in!
We also have Bards on our Discord, which are effectively the content creators of DeFi Kingdoms. They host plenty of giveaways as well, so do go show them some support!
Partnership with Artemis Protocol
Artemis Protocol is a multi-product DeFi protocol on Harmony that helps bootstrap new projects with Artemis Earn, a launchpad and other features. There is currently a MIS<>JEWEL pool up and running with 0% deposit fees.
Any projects that want to partner with DeFi Kingdoms are all researched thoroughly. Input from the community also plays a huge factor into whether or not we decide to move forward with another project.
